The best travel bag for runners

As a frequent traveler, I’ve owned and used a wide variety of luggage. When it comes to the bags I use to transport clothes, running gear and more items, there are several priorities. Among them:

• Convenience: This covers a wide range of things. Can the bag work as a carry-on? Are there adequate pockets so I can stash items effectively? Is the bag durable?

• Storage space: The more I can cram into the bag without crushing items, the better.

• Adaptability: This is somewhat hard to define but I know it when I see it.

• Style: I don’t need the latest bag from the catwalk in Paris. But a functional bag with a cool design is a nice perk.

When it comes to convenience, the portable Roark delivers. At 12”x21”x12” it appears to be suitable for carrying on planes. It has two internal mesh pockets and one zipper pocket on the side. My one wish would be a way to have a laptop pocket in part of the bag. But overall this bag delivers what I need.

In usability terms for runners and cyclists the outdoor adventurers, the Roark Pony Keg allows me to efficiently pack all the necessary equipment, nutritional products and accessories I need for an out of town race or hiking adventure.

The bag is also highly adaptable. I can use the hand straps to carry it by my side, or put my arms through the shoulder straps and haul it on my back.
