Odlo mid-layer top brings comfort for running, chilling out

By Henry Howard

One of the things I like best about the Odlo gear I wear is how well it works for both exercise and casual. Case in point: The Run Easy Half-Zip Mid-Layer Top.

It has served me well as one of many layers during cold morning runs, a comfortable light sweatshirt when I do some inside exercise or just hanging out around the house. The mid-layer top is nearly 100 percent polyester and is cut from lightweight, breathable honeycomb fleece, making it an ideal weight for cool morning runs — once spring returns.

I found the fit to be true to size. And it allows for flexibility and a range of motion, ideal for running, performing yoga or doing a core routine.

Recently, it has been a regular layer in my single-digit morning runs. I have combined it with the Odlo Natural + Kinship Baselayer and Odlo Zeroweight jacket. (Note: The contest referenced in that article was from 2020 and has concluded.)

And those looking ahead to running and wearing leisure options in the spring and summer, Odlo has a great collection of lightweight and breathable gear. In this review, I talk about the effectiveness, style and comfort of Odlo’s Blackcomb Tee Shirt, Zeroweight Tee Shirt, Zeroweight Pro Shorts and Zeroweight 3 Inch Shorts.

I have been wearing Odlo gear for several years now. But they are no stranger to producing great gear for athletes. More importantly, Odlo has a decades-long commitment to sustainability practices. Learn more about this industry leader in a previous story.
