Enter my contest, win a pair of XX2i sunglasses
It’s the middle of summer and while the pandemic has diminished opportunities for enjoying the warm sunshine, there are ways for runners, cyclists and other athletes to safely embrace the outdoors.
Beyond safety precautions to protect against COVID-19, athletes should also be shielding their eyes from the sun’s harmful rays. I’ve used XX2i protective eyewear for several years, including as I trained for my first 50-mile race in sunny California three years ago.
Now, I am honored that XX2i is sponsoring my RunSpirited contest. XX2i will give away the grand prize, a new pair of its protective eyewear sunglasses to the winner. Odlo has agreed to provide hats to the overall winner and four others, who will all be selected at random.
To enter, all you need to do is to sign up to receive my Monday Motivation e-newsletter by going to my website and subscribing. Deadline is July 18; winners will be notified and announced in the July 20 newsletter.
This contest is open to those with a mailing address in the continental United States, ages 18 and above. The contest is not affiliated with Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
Here are the current versions of XX2i sunglasses I am using:
USA1, Performance Sunglasses, Black Onyx, Red Flash Lenses. This is my current favorite pair. They are incredibly comfortable, never slip down and the vented lenses keep fog away during those early morning runs or treks that turn from sun to rain.
Hawaii1, Performance Sunglasses, Matte White, Polarized Gray Lenses. These feel incredibly light, thanks to the carbon fiber frame, which means you also get a custom fit. I use them for all outdoor activities, even mowing my lawn.
Australia1, Matte Black, Polarized Gray Lenses. I really like these for cycling as the frame is a little thicker than others and does not always stay in place during runs.
France1, Performance Sunglasses, Demi Tortoise Gloss, Brown Lenses. This stylish pair are designed for narrower faces and are great for running and cycling.
Best of luck to all who enter my contest, and for those training for races, FKTs and other adventures during this challenging time.
